Hi, I’m Jasper Brumwell – now a vicarage cat, but also known as the praying cat.
I’m 16 and a half years old, and I moved to Bryncethin with my family last August.
Some of you will know me from my presence in virtual church. I don’t like it when my family forget to let me into the services so I have to shout outside the door to the study (or makeshift church) to come in. If that doesn’t work, I go out the cat flap and sit underneath the open window as that will definitely work.
As well as winding up my humans, ham, gravy and long naps – I love coming to church.
You’re probably wondering why I’m called the praying cat. Well, it’s because I love joining people in prayer – I purr along because that’s how I pray to Jesus.
Lockdown has been great because my humans are home all the time, but I do miss meeting strangers and finding new laps to sit on.
I’ll keep you all updated on this blog as to what I get up to in the vicarage. Now I have to go help Reverend Suz trying to type her sermon for Sunday. I’m sure I’ll update soon!
