From the vicarage: paying tribute to the praying cat

Hi there, Ariane here. You’ll know me from helping with the music on a Sunday morning and running Jasper’s Vicarage Cat Diary.   You may have noticed that there’s been a lack of updates from the praying cat recently, and so I am writing this update for his fans and followers (both online and in theContinue reading “From the vicarage: paying tribute to the praying cat”

Mayo-gate: a ‘real’ mayonnaise investigation?

Stop the presses, and lock your fridges – fake mayonnaise is doing the rounds. You might be thinking “but Jasper, how do you know this?” and the answer is, I have been a first hand victim. After weeks… months even… of using my killer instinct and natural cunning to try to successfully hunt mayonnaise, itContinue reading “Mayo-gate: a ‘real’ mayonnaise investigation?”

Introducing techie Jasper

Church was once again at home on Sunday, and I couldn’t be happier. This week I decided to try my hand at being a techie, so I took to supervising techie Lewis. I know it’s important to try to be quiet as a techie, so I purred along to the prayers and the liturgy ratherContinue reading “Introducing techie Jasper”

Back in lockdown with mayonnaise

So a couple of things are happening at the moment which I think are important for me to share. Firstly, I tried mayonnaise for the first time recently when the techie humans weren’t looking, and I have decided that it is my new favourite food so I shout whenever the humans get it from theContinue reading “Back in lockdown with mayonnaise”

A cat’s life when the Rev’s away

So Rev Suz is currently on holiday, that means I can’t access church for a couple of weeks because it’s not online and, being a cat, I can’t drive. While it smells, I must admit, I have enjoyed the extra cat naps this week. The other humans in the vicarage have kept feeding me treats,Continue reading “A cat’s life when the Rev’s away”

I’m back, and I’m part of the worship group

I am proud to announce that I FINALLY got to go back to church on Sunday afternoon after weeks of trying to watch on Ariane’s laptop which, as I previously established, is really hard when you don’t have fingers. The humans held an all age service from the house church – known by Reverend SuzContinue reading “I’m back, and I’m part of the worship group”
